D.J. Hwang is a music producer and songwriter raised in Korea, currently living in Los Angeles. He produces a variety of musical genres including pop, alternative, and hip hop. Hwang currently works for CRT Production/UMG and the United Legion of DOOM, a creative collective based out of Louisville. He has been collaborating with artists from SME and UMG with his production team. He has released his first project, It Was Only Yesterday which released in June, 2014. It appealed to many pop music listeners and showcased his skills as a producer/songwriter. Recently, he released his latest project, BLUE, in a kingdom by the sea, which appeals to both pop and hip-hop music fans. Here is a little insight on H's album "Blue" The production on this album is focused on melodic lush, which was not so prominent in Hwang's last album, It Was Only Yesterday. Most of the tracks are unreleased material that Hwang had been working on since last year to showcase his style and definition of "good quality music". On BLUE, Hwang recreated Rhye and Alina Baraz's tracks with his sense of production and he did collaboration works with Jeremy Fuentes, 1200, Greg Brown, and other artists on this album. Art direction is from Grand Kaiser, a member of United Legion of DOOM and a founder of Fatal Planet.
